Description
Benefits:
- Soothes & softens the feel of dry, tight
patches with plantain + calendula’s
comforting botanical presence. - Cushiony paste texture that encourages a
calm, short rest period over tender areas. - Calming botanical halo from St. John’s
Wort (topical comfort ritual) with low
turmeric for a warm, supportive note.\ - Water-free (as sold)—simple INCI; mixed
fresh for each session.
Ingredients:
Plantago Major (Plantain) Leaf Powder,
Hypericum Perforatum (St. John’s Wort)
Flower Powder, Symphytum Officinale
(Comfrey) Leaf Powder, Curcuma Longa
(Turmeric) Root Powder, Calendula Officinalis
Flower Powder.
Instructions:
- Mix the paste
- In a clean bowl, combine 1–2 Tbsp dry powder
with 1–2 Tbsp cool-to-warm water/tea (or aloe
gel). - Stir to a yogurt/oatmeal-like consistency; let
stand 3–5 minutes to thicken. - Apply On clean, dry, intact skin, spread a thin layer (1⁄8–
1⁄4 in / 3–6 mm) over the area. - Cover with clean cotton/gauze; optionally lay a
cool or barely warm (not hot) cloth on top (eczema-prone skin often prefers cooler temps). - Rest 8–15 minutes.
- Lift cloth, wipe residue with a damp cloth, and
pat dry—do not scrub. - Seal immediately with a bland emollient (e.g.,
unscented balm or your Barrier Bliss butter). - Frequency: 1–3× weekly as desired; for sensitive
skin, start once weekly and assess. - Do not store leftovers. Mix fresh each use;
discard any unused hydrated paste.
Storage Place:
- Dry blend: Keep airtight, cool, dark, and bone-dry.
Best within 12 months. - Hydrated paste: Single-use only—discard after
the session. - Use clean, dry utensils to avoid moisture getting
into the jar.
Pro Tips:
- Barrier trick: Before application, smooth 1–2
drops of jojoba or squalane on the area to ease
removal. - Temperature matters: Most eczema prefers
cool/lukewarm applications; avoid heat.
Lock it in: After removal, apply a thick occlusive
(butter/salve) within 60 seconds to trap
moisture. - Fabric care: Line clothing or bedding with a
washable layer to prevent staining from St.
John’s Wort/turmeric.
Cautions:
- External use only. Patch test (inner forearm) 24 hrs before first use.
- Comfrey notice: Contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids—use short-term, on
intact skin only; avoid during pregnancy/breastfeeding, in children, on
large areas, or for continuous long-term use. - Photosensitivity/staining: St. John’s Wort can increase sun sensitivity
and stain light fabrics; apply in the evening or keep treated skin
covered from sun for 12 hours. - Asteraceae allergy: Calendula is daisy-family—avoid if allergic.
- Turmeric stains fabric, grout, and plastics—use dark towels/old T-
shirts. - Do not apply over broken, weeping, or infected skin. Discontinue if
redness, burning, or rash persists. - Medical concerns: Worsening/widespread rash, signs of infection, or
significant oozing warrant clinical evaluation. - Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease; not FDA
evaluated.
