Benefits:
- Comforting warm–fresh feel (ginger + a
touch of mustard with eucalyptus/thyme
aroma). - Soft, cushiony gel texture from
marshmallow + plantain that feels gentle
on skin. - Supports a relaxing rest ritual over
chest/back with mullein, fenugreek, and
thyme’s herbal spa scent. - Water-free (as sold) for simple storage;
mixed fresh each session.
Ingredients:
Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Powder,
Sinapis Alba (Yellow Mustard) Seed Powder,
Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Leaf Powder,
Verbascum Thapsus (Mullein) Leaf Powder,
Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Root
Powder, Trigonella Foenum-Graecum
(Fenugreek) Seed Powder, Plantago Major
(Plantain) Leaf Powder, Eucalyptus Globulus
Leaf Powder.
Instructions:
- Mix the paste
- In a clean bowl, combine 1–2 Tbsp dry blend
with 1–2 Tbsp warm water/tea (or aloe gel).
Stir to a soft oatmeal consistency; let stand 3–5
minutes to thicken. - (Adults only, optional) Add 1 drop eucalyptus EO,
blend well. - Apply On clean, dry skin of upper chest or upper back,
spread a thin layer (1⁄8–1⁄4 in / 3–6 mm). - Cover with clean cotton cloth or gauze;
optionally place a warm (not hot) towel on top. - Relax 5–15 minutes (start at the low end for
sensitive skin). - Remove cloth, wipe residue with a damp cloth,
and pat dry. - Optional: follow with a light, neutral body
oil/balm. - Frequency: 1× daily for up to 3 consecutive days
during “tender” periods, or 1–3× weekly as
desired. - Do not store leftovers. Mix fresh each use and
discard any unused hydrated paste.
Storage Place:
- Dry blend: Keep airtight, cool, dark, and bone-dry.
Best within 12 months. - Hydrated paste: Single-use only—discard after
session. - Use clean, dry utensils to avoid introducing
moisture into the jar.
Pro Tips:
- Barrier trick: Rub 1–2 drops of bland oil (e.g.,
jojoba) on the skin before the poultice to ease
clean-up and reduce sting. - Activator choice:
- Aloe gel → cooler, gentler feel.
- Castor Oil → more therapeutic benefits.
- Water → most neutral.
- Post-poultice routine: Sip warm water, rest, and
consider a brief steam inhalation away from the
poultice session (plain hot water, no EO for kids).
Cautions:
- External use only. Patch test (inner forearm) 24 hrs before first use.
- Mustard warming: Can be strongly stimulating—use thin layers and
short contact (5–10 min first time). Discontinue if burning, brisk
redness, or stinging persists. - Eucalyptus/Thyme aroma: May feel intense; avoid EO add-in for scent-
sensitive users. - Children: Avoid peppermint/eucalyptus/thyme EO on or near the
face/chest of young children; for kids, use leaf-only blend, omit EO, and
keep sessions short. - Asthma/respiratory sensitivity: Strong aromas can aggravate
symptoms for some—use EO-free version and ensure good ventilation. - Allergy notes: Fenugreek is a legume and may cross-react with
peanut/chickpea allergies; mustard is a common food allergen. Avoid if
sensitive. - Skin status: Do not apply over broken, irritated, or infected skin; avoid
large body areas. - Heat: Use warm, not hot compresses; do not use with heating pads.
- Pregnancy/breastfeeding: Use spice botanicals and EO aromas
cautiously; many prefer EO-free versions. - Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease; not FDA
evaluated.
