Description
Benefits:
- Cools & cushions the feel of hot, angry
joints with a gel-like layer (flax +
marshmallow + aloe option). - Botanical calm from
calendula/plantain/chamomile for a
soothed skin feel. - Balanced warmth (very low ginger/turmeric/cinnamon) to avoid over-
heating while maintaining a gentle, comforting aroma. - Water-free (as sold)—simple INCI; mixed
fresh for each session.
Ingredients:
Linum Usitatissimum (Flax) Seed Powder,
Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Root
Powder, Calendula Officinalis Flower Powder,
Plantago Major (Plantain) Leaf Powder,
Matricaria Recutita (Chamomile) Flower
Powder, Magnesium Hydroxide, Zingiber
Officinale (Ginger) Root Powder, Curcuma
Longa (Turmeric) Root Powder, Cinnamomum
Verum (or C. Cassia) Bark Powder.
Instructions:
- Mix the paste (cool method recommended)
- In a clean bowl, combine 1–2 Tbsp dry powder.
- Add 1–2 Tbsp cool water/tea (or aloe gel) to an
oatmeal-like paste. Stir well. - Let stand 5 minutes so flax/marshmallow fully
gel. For extra cooling, refrigerate 5–10 minutes
before use. - Apply On clean, dry skin over and around (not directly
on any open area) the hot/tender joint, spread a thin layer (1⁄8–1⁄4 in / 3–6 mm). - Cover with clean cotton/gauze. For hot joints, use a cool (not icy) compress on top.
- Rest 10–15 minutes.
- Lift off cloth, wipe residue with a cool damp cloth, and pat dry.
- Optional: follow with a neutral, non-warming oil
or balm. - Frequency: Up to 1× daily during hot flares for 2– 3 days, or 1–3× weekly as desired.
- Do not store leftovers. Mix fresh each use and
discard any unused hydrated paste.
Storage Place:
- Dry blend: Keep airtight, cool, dark, and bone-dry.
Best within 12 months. - Hydrated paste: Single-use only—discard after
the session. - Use clean, dry utensils to avoid moisture getting
into the jar.
Pro Tips:
- Best activator for heat: Aloe gel or refrigerated
calendula tea. - Mess-free barrier: Rub 1–2 drops of jojoba on
skin before application for easier clean-up. - Follow-up ritual: After removal, elevate the limb,
hydrate well, and avoid tight socks/garments
over the area. - “Cool compress preferred for hot joints” and “Do
not store hydrated paste.”
Cautions:
- External use only. Patch test (inner forearm) 24 hrs before first use.
- Asteraceae: Calendula & chamomile are daisy-family—avoid if allergic.
- Spice sensitivity: Even low ginger/turmeric/cinnamon can feel
stimulating—if heat increases, remove immediately and rinse with cool
water. - Magnesium hydroxide is alkaline; keep layers thin and contact time
brief if skin is very sensitive. - Skin status: Do not apply on broken, irritated, or infected skin; avoid
eyes/mucosa; wash hands after use. - Medical red flags: Sudden, severe joint pain/swelling, fever, or new
redness/warmth warrants medical evaluation. - Pregnancy/children: Use aromatic/spice herbs cautiously; consider a
spice-free variant. - Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease; not FDA
evaluated.
